‘Welcome to our Website’
Think you might have a novel in you? Or perhaps poetry’s more your thing?
Whatever you like to write or your experience, you will find an appreciative and welcoming audience at Wythall Writers.
We are a friendly group who enjoy writing and improving our skills by meeting and working with others once a month.
At the meetings we:
We have to date produced seven anthologies of our work, each a compilation of short stories and poetry.
- Read out our work based on last months homework topics (see meeting diary for details).
- Discuss contributions and provide constructive critique for development.
- Bring along pieces of writing we may be working on (or may have resurrected!) that we would like feedback on.
- Discuss and highlight any relevant writing forums, events and competitions that might be of interest to our members.
Occasionally we invite authors to our meetings. Their visits tend to be either an inspiring and motivational workshop or a “Question and Answer” discussion.
We meet every second Thursday of the month at:
Wythall Library, May Lane, Hollywood - 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
From April 2016 we will meet at:
The Peter Thompson Room, St Mary’s Church
£6 annual membership
£2.50 per meeting
Our main aim is to encourage each other to write, never give up the dream, and above all to have fun!
